I have a woman interested in watching my execting baby in her home and not sure what salary to offer. She would be watching the baby from 7:30-3:30 Monday through Friday. I live on long island and most day care centers cost about $1200-1500 a month. I was hoping I could pay less but not sure what the average cost was for in-home day care. She would not have any other children but mine and she would have off all of the school holidays and the summers since I am a teacher!

We have had our nanny for 6 years, and we are now moving to Florida. We would like to find her another home that is warm and welcoming. She is really quite an amazing nanny; she has NEVER in 6 years called in sick! She is warm and loving with our children, and is terrific in NYC - she finds activities and is a real urban nanny.
